Happy Belated Birthday Party

Miss Elena celebrated her first birthday party fashionably late. Since she just made her appearance in the US two days prior to turning one, we thought we would wait until she got settled in before having a big bash to celebrate her special day.
She wore her beautiful hanbok that was a gift from her foster family. During the toljabee ceremony Elena first chose the knife (which means she will be a good cook.....hopefully someone teaches her because it won't be Mommy) and secondly she chose the thread which symbolizes a long life for Elena.

Shout out to the Golden Delight Bakery for making this delicious cake.

Toljabee

Go for the money Sis!

And So It Begins...

Little Elena has started taking some steps. She is up to six steps at a time. Don't believe us?!? See for yourself. Apparently children grow horns as soon as they begin walking as well...

Splish Splash We're Takin' a Bath

Mama makes sure we take a bath every single night. Good thing we like our bath time. Jack likes to help wash and "style" my hair. Sometimes he helps mom out and washes the floor by dumping a whole bucket of water right out of the tub. Although Mom doesn't seem to think it's as funny as we do.

Cupcakes, Pumpkins, Apples, and Leaves

We had such a busy fun filled fall day.
First, While Sissy took a bear nap Mommy and Jack made cupcakes. Then, we went to the fruit farm to get some apples and pumpkins (and Jack thought we needed some apple pies so he threw those in the cart too)...Then Daddy and Jack raked up some leaves. Jack had a blast being buried in the leaves, jumping in the leaves, throwing the leaves and by the end he even brought his best friend til the end, his Pillow Pet "Bee", to join in the fun. This year, Sissy decided she would be the "supervisor" and watch the fun in the leaves rather than get messy.

Reunited!

The other day I was able to see my buddy Min Woo (Caden) - We are old friends from way back. We lived together in Korea and had the same foster mom. Caden left Omma's house back in February, while I hung around and continued to get spoiled until August. How fun to see him again. I will be able to see him all the time because he lives just a mile down the road!!

Mommy said I should disclose that she stole all these pictures from Caden's mom.

The Park

Sissy went on the swing for the very first time. And........
 She loved it!!
Big Brother Jack was nice enough to give her a couple pushes

And then he was off to do his own thing! Which is run, run, and run. Which sounds like a good way to get rid of his never ending supply of energy .
 Run, Run, Run!
Monkey see Monkey do.

First Haircut

Today Mom and I had a girls day morning while Jack was teaching all the other kids at school their numbers and letters. Mom decided that my hair, although beautiful, needed a little taming. My bangs were growing into my eyes. She took me all the way to Cookie Cutters for a haircut. I sat in a pink car, watched a little TV, smiled and waved at everyone in the place and got a little hairdo. I was so happy and pleasant for my haircut!
