Look At Me!

This post is for her Omma and family in Korea. We know that Omma and her family check this site nearly everyday to check on their little In Hee and see new pictures. We are so grateful that Elena has such a wonderful family in Korea that loves her and took wonderful care of her.
Little Elena is doing so good in her new house. It's like she has been here forever. She is as happy as she is cute. She eats, she sleeps, she plays, she dances, she smiles. She is nothing but a big butterball of fun.

You Scream, I Scream, We All Scream

For Ice Cream! Jack loooveeeesss ice cream. He even asked for it for breakfast today. He doesn't care how everyone else eats an ice cream cone. Jack has his own agenda.

First...you take a little from the top.

Next, enjoy the ice cream. Maybe smear some on your face for good measure.

And then it begins.....turn the cone sideways.

And....dig in the bottom of the cone. Don't worry if it makes a mess. Messes are temporary and usually taken care of by mom and dad.

Finally, mash your ice cream cone into a ball and then chase your mom and smear it on her new pants.

She is blinding us....

Mom has been snapping pictures of us left and right. She is always trying to force us to sit together. This is the best we will do....basically, we don't feel like cooperating. And that flash! Ugh, it's enough to burn our little retinas.

Shielding myself from the flash

A little embarrassing to be caught crying on film....but Sissy headbutted me.

And.........payback time for the headbutting.

PeekAboooooo

Sissy has mastered playing Peekaboo. She just hasn't figured out how to not get lost in the blanket.

Photo Shoot

While Jack was working hard teaching the other kids their letters, numbers and colors at preschool (overachiever), Sissy and Momma had a photo shoot outside. It may appear that Elena tolerated the frilly contraption on her head, but don't be fooled.  The yellow wand has become a staple accessory in Sissy's day to day life. She stole it from Mrs. Potato head and she uses it to help soothe all the teeth poppin' through her gums. And to Omma if you are reading this :

Trouble....

Trouble and Shenanigans all over this house yesterday...
First Sissy has begun climbing stairs, so the gates are back out.

Then, Sissy tore about the diapers and smeared diaper creme onto everything.

Then, Jack decided Mardi Gras came early and took off his pants, put on some beads and climbed into the baby's high chair.
Finally, someone caught being good.

The Point

This is Sissy's signature move. The Point. She will check you out for a little bit, throw some side eye your way....and then, BAM...The point comes out. It's her way of saying, "Hey you! I'm watching you".
She may also pretend that she wants to share her toy....but as soon as you grab for it, she quickly decides otherwise and hangs onto it. She's a trickster this Sissy.
If she is feeling extra friendly she will then throw the wave.
And if she likes you and decides your "ok" she will flash her big, giant, adorable smile.

Dog Days

Jack is turning into a dog.
Proof:  He shouts, "Ready, Set, Go!!!" and throws a toy. Just like Mocha, he runs after the toy, lets out a growl and brings the toy back in his mouth.
Proof: He eats goldfish crackers out of the bowl like a dog, face first.
Proof: He was found with a mouthful of water straight from the source....yep, the dogs water bowl.
Proof: He puts the leash around his neck and off he goes for a walk.

Anyone for a game of fetch?
Do we look alike?

Smiles

Elena In Hee is always flashing smiles. She is pretty much happy all the time unless she is sleepy.

Likes, Dislikes. (by lil Sis)

I have been home for 5 days. Since then alot has happened. I have pretty much made it known what I like, and what I don't like.

1. I LIKE Cheerios. Those little round things are delicious. Not sure why the big kid calls them "wheels", but whatever.

2. I DO NOT LIKE the carseat. That is just awful. Why on earth would these people strap me down in a car. In Korea we just roll around the car like we own it.

3. I DO NOT LIKE baths. And why would I?

4. I LIKE to sleep. Yes, I tricked Mommy and stayed awake on the plane nearly the whole time. I was just trying my best to reset my internal clock. It worked. I have been sleeping about 10 hours a night and taking nice long naps during the day.

5. I LIKE my Nanny and Pa. They have snuck in two visits so far and I like giving them smiles and high fives.

6. I DO NOT LIKE  when my dad leaves my sight. That saying... out of sight out of mind. Not true. I need to know where he is at all times.

7. I LOVE my Dad. He is my favorite person so far. He holds me all day long. If not, I fuss and he swoops in and holds me again. He is like a big soft cuddly teddy bear.

8. I DO NOT LIKE having my diaper changed or being dressed! Hello? Privacy!

9. Sorry to burst your bubble mom, but I DO NOT LIKE headbands or hats on my head. It feels like a bird on my head and I think I may looks a little foolish.

So, there you have it. So far things are going pretty well in my new house. I am really starting to love my new mom and dad (well dad is a given). My brother is nice too. Although  he wants whatever I have, tells me "No" and he is quick with taking things away from me.

Here are some new pictures of me just being cute...

Oh, I like to eat too. I'll try just about anything.

I pose like this quite often

Big Jack after he scarfed down one of my birthday cupcakes.

Buckeyes! (what's a buckeye anyways?)

Thinking how to snatch the Cheerios off the big kid,

Look closely. I now have 4 teeth on the bottom.
